1970's VALENTINO Wool Tweed Suit / 70's DESIGNER 2 Piece /Valentino BOUTIQUE Skirt and Jacket / size 8 / Made in Italy

VALENTINO BOUTIQUE, Made in Italy. Bought in the Tribout Shop of John Wanamakers.
From the late 70s, this wool herringbone tweed, two piece suit from Valentino is so unique!
The jacket is cut in a boxy fashion and has a pleated peplum. The top has velvet buttons all the way down the jacket and it closes at the waist with a hook and eye. There is a velvet collar and lots of detailing.
The skirt is straight cut with a flat front but there are small pleats near the waist. Closes with a nylon zipper and hook and eye. Features a long front slit and pockets. The jacket and skirt are unlined.
The size is about a 6-8 for today. The model wears a 2 and it hung on her.
We have shown it with high heels for a more sophisticated look, but you could wear cowboy boots and a leather belt for that boho feel.

This designer suit is a true collectible and fabulous to wear! It was made with expert tailoring by Valentino Garavani. It is in perfect shape.
